There's no denying which day was the first day of school!
And look how much she's grown!
The smile says it all!
As quickly as it started...it ended. I can't believe it's already been nine and a half months since our baby girl started Kindergarten. She has become such a wonderful reader and writer. Drue loves that she can sit down and read a book all by herself! She also excels at math, something I cannot say for myself. She has learned so many new things and will surprise us with fun facts daily! Not only has she grown physically, but socially, intellectually and emotionally. We are so proud of the young girl she has become. We also couldn't have asked for a better teacher. Mrs. Linda Hildreth was a comfort to us as there were many days even weeks that Drue needed a little 'extra' from her. She is the typical grandma-like teacher and I can see just how she treats the children by watching DD play school at home. You know the things she says came directly from Mrs. Hildreth. She was just awesome and we hope she's still around to teach Dig! Drue was excited to give Mrs. Hildreth a bouquet of flowers in a chalkboard vase the day before the end of school. She chalked '#1 Teacher' and 'Mrs. Hildreth is the Best!' and 'Love, Drue' and 'Love the Luikens' on the vase. Mrs. Hildreth was touched and DD even admitted she was a little-bit sad about school ending...
But, I think these pictures say it all!
She ran out of there like the school was on fire!!!
